Mark Burnett International has acquired the worldwide distribution and format rights of All for Nothing? a reality series from indie Mountain Road Productions. Series executive producer Tim Alp of Ottawa-based Mountain Road looks set to see the one-hour Canadian design and real estate series show up in a host of foreign markets as local versions.
“We’re just wrapping up the MIPTV show in Cannes, France and buyers have reacted very positively on both the tape and format of the show. All for Nothing? is going global,” C. Scot Cru, managing director at Mark Burnett International said in a statement.
All For Nothing? was conceived by Alp and developed with Corus Entertainment’s director of original programming Claire Freeland.
The reality series, shot in Ottawa, sees two local homeowners battle it out to see which can ready their neglected home for a property sale in two weeks for little or no money.
Contestants also receive free real estate and design advice.
Production is now underway on a second season, or another 26 episodes, to debut this summer on Canada’s W Network.
